Head of Supply Chain UK
We’re looking for a hands on and commercially minded Head of Supply Chain to lead and scale our UK supply chain and procurement function. This is a high-impact leadership role at the centre of a fast-growing business, where you’ll set direction, develop a high-performing team and shape supplier strategy to support sustainable growth.
You’ll balance clear strategic thinking with hands-on operational experience, working collaboratively across the business to strengthen supplier partnerships, unlock new product opportunities and continuously improve cost, quality and reliability. What you’ll be doing
Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
Define and own the end-to-end supply chain and procurement strategy, aligned to business objectives and growth plans. Set clear priorities across cost, service, resilience and risk, and lead execution through a high-performing team.Team Development & Capability Building
Build, lead and develop a strong supply chain and procurement team, creating clear accountability, scalable ways of working and a culture of continuous improvement.Inventory & Demand Oversight
Oversee inventory strategy and demand planning, ensuring appropriate stock cover, service levels and working capital efficiency as the business scales. Use data and forecasting to proactively manage supply performance and risk.Supplier, Vendor & Logistics Leadership
Own senior relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers and logistics partners. Lead commercial negotiations, contracting and performance management to ensure quality, compliance, resilience and long-term value.Risk & Resilience Management
Proactively identify structural risks and vulnerabilities across the supply chain and put in place robust mitigation and contingency plans to protect continuity of supply.New Product & Treatment Enablement
Partner with clinical, product and category leaders to enable new treatments and product launches, shaping sourcing strategy, supplier selection and supply readiness from concept through to launch.Operational Excellence & Scaling
Set the roadmap for operational excellence across procurement, planning, logistics and inventory management. Lead initiatives that improve reliability, scalability and efficiency, supported by clear metrics and governance.Executive & Cross-functional Partnership
Act as a senior partner to Finance, Operations, Product and Commercial leaders, ensuring supply chain strategy supports wider business goals and growth initiatives.Sustainability, Systems & Innovation
Champion sustainable supply chain practices and lead the adoption of digital tools, automation and new operating models to future-proof the function.
What we need from you
Required:
Significant experience in supply chain, operations or consulting, with ownership of end-to-end supply chain strategy in a complex or scaling environment.
Deep understanding of sourcing, supplier management, planning, logistics and fulfillment at both strategic and operational levels.
Demonstrated experience leading, developing and scaling teams, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership approach.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
Commercially minded, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities and confidence using data to inform decisions.
A proven record of leading complex, cross-functional change and delivering measurable improvements in cost, service or resilience.
Experience managing supplier relationships and leading contract negotiations at a senior level.
Desirable:
Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering or a related field (MBA or advanced qualification a plus).
Background in pharmaceuticals, healthcare or other highly regulated supply chains.
Experience operating in a high-growth or scale-up environment.
Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and modern supply chain technologies or planning systems.
