Design Director
We’re looking for a Design Director to take our visual world to the next level. You will set the creative standard for everything people see, shaping a brand design language that’s instantly recognisable, culturally relevant, and crafted to the highest level. This is a role for someone who sees both the big picture and the fine grain, who obsesses over the details that make design sing.
You’ll be the custodian of our brand identity, ensuring it’s distinctive, coherent, and continuously evolving. You’ll define how the brand looks and feels across every channel, while inspiring and influencing a wide team of designers, marketers, and creatives to bring that vision to life. Your thinking will shape how the identity lives across digital products, campaigns, and beyond.
In a rapidly growing business, this is a chance to set the design agenda for a brand at scale, to shape enduring visual assets, refine the system over time, and uphold world-class standards across everything we make.
This hybrid role is based three days per week in our London HQ.
What you’ll do
- Own and evolve the visual identity - Be the guardian of the brand’s design system, ensuring it’s clear, distinctive, and consistently applied across every context.
- Shape the visual world - Define how the brand shows up across campaigns, comms, product, packaging, social, and environments, ensuring visual coherence with creative boldness.
- Set and uphold exceptional standards - Be relentless about craft. Review work closely, refine details, and push the quality bar across everything the brand produces.
- Develop and protect distinctive brand assets - Lead the creation and refinement of an iconic brand world, from core marks and typography to illustration, motion principles, and layout systems.
- Guide and inspire our team - Provide clear creative direction and high-level feedback to designers across multiple functions, elevating their work through vision and craft leadership. And leverage your network with specialist talent when we need it.
- Stay culturally sharp - Bring a critical eye to design trends and cultural shifts, evolving the brand language in a way that keeps it fresh without losing its core.
Who you are
- 5+ years of design experience, with a proven track record of shaping and evolving brand identities at scale.
- A design obsessive with impeccable taste and relentless attention to detail.
- Deep experience in brand identity systems and their execution across every medium.
- Comfortable giving decisive, inspiring direction to large internal design and creative teams, even when you’re not hands-on with the work yourself.
- Fluent enough to shape how identity expresses itself in digital products through close partnership with product and UX teams.
- A strong creative leader who can inspire, guide, and hold the line on quality without diluting vision.
