Creative Lead, Performance Marketing
We’re looking for a world-class creative lead to own the creative strategy and execution for our entire performance marketing engine. Obsessed with driving performance outcomes, you will be the creative heart of our growth team, responsible for developing the concepts and frameworks that stop thumbs, drive clicks, and generate millions in revenue. You will lead a team of strategists and work hand-in-hand with our channel owners to build a high-velocity creative testing machine across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond.
This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of data, psychology, and craft. You won't be making ads in a silo; you'll be on the front lines of growth, using performance data as your inspiration and business results as your ultimate measure of success. You will have the resources and mandate to build a truly data-informed creative function that is a key competitive advantage in our market.
This hybrid role is based three days per week in our London HQ.
What you’ll do
- Lead the creative strategy for all performance channels – Develop and own the overarching creative strategy for acquisition, ensuring a constant flow of fresh, channel-native concepts designed to drive performance.
- Build and manage a high-velocity testing system – Implement a rigorous framework for creative testing and iteration, enabling us to rapidly learn and scale winning concepts across channels.
- Translate data into actionable creative insights – Dive deep into performance data with channel managers to understand what’s working and why, transforming those insights into compelling creative briefs for your team.
- Manage and mentor a creative performance team – Lead, coach, and inspire a team of creative strategists and production partners, fostering a culture of curiosity, speed, and accountability.
- Partner with channel owners and brand – Act as the key creative partner for our performance marketing leaders, ensuring your team’s output is perfectly aligned with their channel needs while upholding brand integrity.
- Master channel-native formats – Become our in-house expert on what makes creative effective on each platform, from TikTok trends and YouTube pre-roll hooks to static ads on Meta.
- Drive creative innovation – Constantly seek out new formats, trends, and production methods to ensure our creative is always cutting-edge and delivering breakthrough results.
Who you are
- 7+ years of experience in a creative role with a heavy focus on performance marketing or direct response, either in-house at a high-growth DTC company or at a performance-focused agency.
- A portfolio that overwhelmingly demonstrates a mastery of direct-response creative that drives measurable business outcomes (e.g. customer acquisition, ROAS), not just brand awards.
- Fluent in the language of performance marketing; you think in terms of CTR, CVR, CPA, and LTV and can articulate how creative choices impact these metrics.
- An expert in understanding the creative nuances of each major platform (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc) and have a proven ability to create high-performing, native content for them.
- A player-coach who is equally comfortable developing a high-level creative strategy, writing a sharp creative brief, and providing direct, actionable feedback on an edit.
- Highly analytical and hypothesis-driven; you see creative as a series of testable assumptions, not just a matter of taste.
- An exceptional communicator who can inspire a team, sell a concept, and build strong, collaborative relationships with analytical stakeholders.
