Menwell Ltd (the company behind Manual.co and JoinVoy.com) are looking for an exceptional and innovative Commercial Counsel. You’ll have high levels of autonomy and ownership, collaborating across departments in a rapidly expanding health-tech company. 

We need a strong all-rounder who wants to build out a fast growing business. You’ll leverage technology to manage deals at scale, delivering quality work in a fast paced environment. What you'll do

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts, including medicinal product supply agreements, employment contracts, and commercial leases. We’re particularly interested in leveraging technology (including AI) to support these areas.
• Developing and implementing best practices in contract management, tools, and templates.
• Managing investor and supplier due diligence (AML, Anti-Bribery)
• Managing company regulatory compliance, including the Modern Slavery Act and ESG obligations.
• Turning your hand to broader commercial work like M&A transactions and regulatory challenges.
• Developing and maintaining standard terms and conditions for the company.
• Preparing insurance submissions for annual renewals and managing the group's insurance program
• Delivering in-house training on legal risks and significant legal and regulatory changes.
• Project management, including coordinating with external counsel and consultants on company initiatives.
• Providing advice on various day-to-day legal and business issues, including other commercial matters as they arise.

Who you are

• Qualified as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, or other common law jurisdiction, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years’ professional experience (preferably within a full-service law firm or in-house).
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated industry.
• Strong skills in drafting and reviewing contractual documents and related legal knowledge.
• Ability to influence and navigate challenging situations.
• Pragmatic, commercially minded approach to legal problem solving.
• Interest in leveraging technology to deliver scalable legal solutions for the business.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust at all levels.
• Capacity to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure.
